Conservatives are not all like these Maple MAGA, many progressive conservatives are more centrist and are looking for a home. The UCP and CPC need to call themselves what they are…Republicans. 🇨🇦
Unfortunately the Progressive Conservative Party...a very old Canadian party that I too had voted for in the past..was killed off by Stephen Harper. The choice was clear after that. The centrist ..with a touch of left you are looking for is Mark Carney.
The reason to vote Liberal is because you are a Progressive Conservative.
If you look at democracies around the world Canadian Liberals are right of centre. Conservatives are far right and that is too close to the right edge.

Polls show ~35% of NDP voters would vote Conservative if no NDP. Think northern Ontario Sudbury etc. but not just there.
This is why the merging of Lib and NDP is not what we wish it would be.

LIB=Rt of centre
CON=Far rt.
