Prime Minister Mark Carney 🇨🇦 eliminates the carbon tax for consumers. It will be interesting to see how much the price drops at the pumps, and for how long. #cdnpoli
IMO the oil companies will jack the price back up after giving it a wee bit of time.

I could be wrong.
But hey ho.
I have to disagree with you.
Did you look at ANY of my feed? Guessing not.
I am as resolutely Canadian as they come.
But please, enjoy waiting for gas and other prices to drop because ‘the tax was axed’ and corporations are good guys.
I’ll be over here with my #ElbowsUp for #Canada.
Today it’s the same as earlier in the week.
God it's awful he has to crater a good program because of stupid fucking average Canadians.
I'm not missing out.
For those that did, I'm disappointed they're not going to get one in the future.
I do think it's the best decision at this time.
We don't get family day, not even the queens holiday in September (I think?)
Québec has its own system, so no rebates for us.

I'll bet you BigOil, BigDirtyOil will cut the selling price by maybe 5 cents. Not more. They'll profit. Price won't drop materially. Canadian gas buyers will suffer and get no rebate. Oil Cos don't pay fair taxes
Also 89 other countries have some sort of tax/price on carbon.

It's the same in the west end. It does its usual 10 cent drop in the evening then right back up again after midnight and/or the morning.
Will cost of living drop? Or will it stay the same without rebate? #honestquestion
I am waiting to see in BC because we have had our own carbon tax for a long time. Announced yesterday, it was going to be eliminated here as well, which I found interesting because we have one long before JT introduced his.
Not sure if any movement on prices will happen.
Boy Liberals are bad at messaging.
MC should have made this clear while at signing.
AHS is a disaster,DS makes DoFo look good.
Take back Ab…traitors.
We are not much better in BC, though I do like that Dan Sullivan is riled up.
Wouldn’t it be awesome if cruise ships had to sail the west coast of Vancouver Island instead of the inside passage?
It's the conservative provincial govts that are the most costly to Canadians
If it had been called a carbon rebate program I wonder if we'd have the same result? Words matter.
For yrs. Highway robbery.
