Sorry, but this has been debunked. A big increase happened when the pipeline opened but there has not been a significant increase in the last few weeks. Bloomberg started the story with an erroneous chart and a bunch of other media copied it so now it is seen as fact. It is not fact.

Well we have many pipelines that go to many ports and the reality is that Burnaby is not a deep water port that allows for the supertankers to transport oil. What you really need to follow is the shipping volume out of Burnaby and where it goes. You might want to look at Houston Texas as well

I saw an article about that last week. It's a huge benefit for Canada - we are shipping 50% of their crude oil needs now. They used to get that crude oil from the USA but they bought a light oil before. China ramped up it's ability to refine Canada's crude oil as it's much thicker. Viola!

Libs actually fast-tracked the approval. KM applied for expansion in 2013 while Cons were in power. Liberals were elected in 2015 and approved the project in 2016. KM walked after pushback by GoBC and First Nations on the fast tracked process. Libs bought the pipeline to ensure expansion completion.
