It's actually not the bottom of the tree - that image is seen over the top of a five foot wall that surrounds the park.
BUT I know better than to meddle with the Fae, so I didn't go poking around in there! 😜
There was a # at the other place called #TreeClub run by @TreeCop. It started in lockdown.I don’t think he’s here & wouldn’t want to appropriate his good works (if you’re here, TC, start it up again in your name!
#TreeClub is for tree admiration. I’ll start with The Medusa Tree - edge of Dartmoor
Not familiar with this one, but it’s beautiful. My favourite trees around Dartmoor were always at Wistman’s Wood.
Don’t know if you’re familiar with The Woodland Trust site, where they invite you to add a gnarly tree to a map of the UK's most important trees: https://ati.woodlandtrust.org.uk/blog/2018/latest-top-trees/
It’s gorgeous- the DNP & other preservation groups have asked people not to go inside the wood in recent years. Footsteps, people causing damage to the fragile ecosystem etc

I would 100% have checked in there for any fae folk or doorways to other realms.

Wistman’s is lovely but very much a honeypot spot these days
The perimeter is fine
