thanks, Julie. it got a much bigger response than i expected. i almost didn't post it last night because i could just barely see out of one eye to edit. glad now i did. sometimes the view standing in my front yard can be quite amazing.
π it's from using the widest angle setting. creates cool effects. sometimes it shows too much background, but in this case i liked the glints of light on the cars and the repetition of the stairs so didn't mind it.
ha i haven't seen that but it sounds like a compliment so i'll take it. the effect is a fun one. just discovered it recently. focus on something close up but set the size at .6, the lowest setting. it gives a wide angle shot that sort of bends the image into a curve.
sometimes it shows too much of the background, but i try to work with it and minimize that as much as i can, sometimes by simply pointing more up at the sky. fun with phones. π
