It's tack, from sailing. When heading upwind "the right tack" is the direction that goes towards more wind, thus keeping the boat going fastest. A wrong tack leads to less wind or worse: rocks.

Also, the enemy is not simply "the rich." Some people win the rat race then go away to live a life of luxury and not work. Good for them. That's what we all want. Most wouldn't want to keep grinding. Beyond a certain level is a sickness. Billionaire is the probably a clear spot to draw the line.
