Perhaps, but it’s hard to ignore empty workplaces. If too many workers drop out due to illness, or simply die, they won’t exactly have a choice. Particularly given the worst health outcomes tend to be in Red states.

The majority of the industrial revolution completely lacked protections, there's no reason it wouldn't go back to that

Heart disease, lung disease, and cancer rates are why it won’t go back.
Consider that diet, lifestyle, and climate change are all radically different today—and they all contribute to health outcomes.
High birthrates won’t solve much when it takes decades to enter the workforce and much less time…

If companies can save a buck at the expense of the health of their employees, they save the buck 100 times out of 100.
Workplace protections were forged in blood and won by collective action. Oligarchs don't GAF about health of the commoner, just look at Russia

Again, true, but you’re arguing about logic when I’m talking numbers.
They don’t need to care to be forced to act. They need workers and illness takes them away. It’s just a matter of time until numbers force their hand.
