What destroys me is art is SO disrespected, we could very well be missing out on the modern day Van Gogh because instead of being given the support to hone the craft, they clock in for day jobs and abandon their brilliance.

I never understood the opposition to universal healthcare & UBI, including from conservatives. They are interested in business… think of all the businesses that never got started or great products invented because someone didn’t have time after a day job.

I think it is that they can't think long term.
It is also why game companies keep firing everyone after every project, despite everyone knowing that fostering talent creates a better end project.
They only think of short term gains.
