i do agree, the movie doesnt really know where to stick the landing and feels like it has 5 endings but as you said, it hardly matters with so much swinging at the fences
He most certainly has not. I hadn't seen any of his others before where I FIRST found out about him which(kinda embarrassingly) was the Marvel Black Panther movie, but catching up through his filmography has been an adventure to say the least. Definitely hits more as an African American too
I agree and disagree at the same time haha I feel like Sinners, at least during the initial viewing, is greatly improved by not knowing what kinda movie it's going to be. Maybe they could've done generic action posters like this for half marketing and drama period pieces for the other half haha
oh no, i absolutely agree, but i feel like even in that sense this poster is kinda bad because it does a disservice to MBJ by showing him as one character when the twin dynamic is so important
This being Miles first role might have something to do with it but now that it's clear he's a breakout star a new poster rollout might be a good idea lol
Absolutely! I wish the posters and trailer didn't elevate Smoke's significance over Stack when both have their own plotlines and character arcs. And another agree on Miles since Sammie is pretty much the main protagonist
Lol! I'm so glad I wasn't the only one who saw how weirdly similar that movie is to Sinners! I just felt dirty just comparing them! But it's not just the "and then they were sigue by Vampires", is that both are a whole different movie till "And then there were Vampires" moment hits!
It's honestly a fun B, kind of trashy movie. Is NOT Sinners, keep that in mind. The paralles start at end on "you star watching a somehow grounded movie, and then everyone is under siege by Vampires". You may feel like drawing Tako dancin with snakes after Watching it, tho...

Not sure who she wanted to be in that scenario, but she let everyone in the audience know what she was into.
but yeah I got chills watching it! Ryan Coogler is becoming one of my favorite Directors. Loved the Creed trilogy
also Miles Caton deserves to be there
