Bioware publicly stated that there wouldn't be DLC for Veilguard well in advance. They wanted to ship a complete game. The degs mentioned that they felt relying on DLC for DA:I was a mistake, and that Trespasser should have been part of the main storyline. It's unfortunate that they were laid off,

but they never intended to make DLC or future content patches for DATV post launch. Just wanted to clarify! EA ruined Bioware in many ways, but this wasn't their call, shockingly.

Ah, fair. I hadn't heard that! One person on a dev teams of hundreds doesn't mean it was in the works, though. Especially since it was specifically the DATV team that said they had no plans for DLC. Which is positive! I think shifting away from DLC in favor of complete storylines should be standard.

A lot of the stuff I saw from dataminers would have made a difference and helped with the game's pacing. Hell, a lot of the scrapped concepts would have helped as well. Had EA not scrapped it several times, it would have been different, maybe even better. EA and BioWare's higherups dropped the ball.

The game is by and large bug-free too, so they could have done minor content patches leading up to a DLC or two.

Also interesting how even Bethesda managed to salvage Fallout 76 by continuing to work on it instead of throwing it under the bus.

EA must have been soooo butthurt about being told "no we're not gonna make a fucking fortnite DA game" or something idk.

It's just ridiculous how even just a little bit of support could've massively boosted their sales, but they'd rather let everyone know that they're clueless about games instead.

Clueless and/or pandering to the "wrong" kind of demographic. Like yeah I get from a cynical POV you wanna get the "bro gamer" share of the pie that steadily fell away from the franchise as it showed its progressive/inclusive cred but they couldn't even be bothered to defend the staff.
