I really can’t believe cities like DC and NYC have normalized putting 6 grown adults in a house as roommates and charging them $1600 a month each for just a room. NO landlord should be getting $9600 a month from one apt/house IDC what neighborhood it’s in… this is robbery - ThreadSky

It's a millionaire's tbh... and I'm so glad I left, financially. It was just ruuuuuining my mental health, and the area I stayed in in BK wasn't even that bad in comparison to other areas like Bedstuy and ish.

The quality of living alone is enough to convince tbh. I get being in the mix and ish is fun, but going from that expensive ass 2BD condo in BK to this cute 3BD house (with a garage) over here (for less money) is just great for my mental health.

Also, for NYC specifically.. being social is SO hard when people don't really travel/host and it takes 45min to go like 4 fucking miles (via MTA.)

Down here, everything is 15-25 mins away and I love it.
