A Scots MSP came up with the brilliant “clusterbourach” - bourach being a Gaelic word used by a fair chunk of non-Gaelic-speaking Scots to mean a right mess, a pigsty, a teenager’s bedroom, the state of the kitchen when you get back having left your husband to manage for a few days, etc…
