I realise it’s falling on political deaf ears, but to make it incredibly simple for everyone, Brexit is the problem, reverse it and there will be more money, a lot.
The Tories lied to get Brexit, it happened, it’s awful and everyone is poorer.
I’m tired of being poorer.

It's cowardice and pandering to the right never gets us anywhere .
We have to keep voting pro-Europe parties. The next 5 years are going to be about undoing it without saying so. Already begun. 😉
Most people only need one: 0
Show your face and say the same thing. I dare you.
Sounds like you’re pro-Brexit to me.
The country as a whole is considerably poorer.
Most of the population is considerably poorer.
A small number of people made vast sums of money & stashed it offshore.
I don't know how much longer the political deaf ears will be impervious to these truths.
The diagnosis is quite straightforward, though ofc contested in some places.
The prescription is less so…
1) Does one go for a graded approach (get closer → SM/CU → Article 49) or just A49? [I'm for the incremental path]?
2) Would EU consider even SM…
… w/o much more internal UK consensus on EU, and political stability [which is hard while Tories are so barking mad]?
3) How do we get Labour to be more EU +ve [because nothing will happen re SM until KS/ YC/ RR etc see a politically compelling need for it and…
… are obliged to address their own personal Lexity ideological stances and constituency re-election anxieties]?
Seems to me we have here to meld: passion; rigour; strategy; tactics; logic; and realism.
There is, truly, no instant fix. It will take some time.
4) For Article 49, the UK would have to address the issues of € and Schengen. Which I would go for, personally; but these would be major areas of contention.
I am trying to combine passion for 'Join Again', logic and realism.
I want our Freedom of Movement back!!
SM&CU/Erasmus etc initially.
There’s too much wrong with the country, rejoining would take too long, eat up too much time & attention & it’s uncertain whether we’d be able to guarantee 27 favourable votes.
There also too little realistic support for that likely deal.
Labour’s position reflects the current reality that’s all.
