Ignorance is the operatives word. This woman is educated as to what a miscarriage is; while legislators pass sweeping "anti-abortion" bills w/out understanding women do not plan, want, or prepare for a fetus to spontaneously abortion. It is a tragedy, and far more common than most people realize.
If we're going to arrest women for miscarriages then time to arrest men for every drop of sperm that fails to fertilize an egg...EVERY ONE. At which point there won't be many of us left I imagine.
If that sounds absurd it's because, like criminalizing miscarriage, IT IS.
It's a travesty to put women through further tragedy. The laws are from some hellscape. Medically, it's beyond anyone's control when a fetus isn't viable & we miscarry. Those law makers need to go to jail for torturing women. Doctors need to testify to the barbarity of it. It's from the Middle Ages!
The laws are written by Nationalist Christian groups. The politicians do not understand or read what they bring to a vote. A: because they are funded by these groups and B: they don't care
Conservatives want to investigate women who miscarry for obtaining an abortion. They prob seized all her communication devices looking for any pills she ordered.
RNCers want all women to be maimed and die if they don't incubate every single sacred sperm introduced into their reproductive system . . . Then Republicans demand they live in economic dearth for allowing their bodies to be bullied by pregnancy.
Could someone explain who it is who is ratting these women out to the authorities? Who is privy to these miscarrying women's conditions who's dropping a dime on them to their local RW christianist D.A.'s and such?
Anyone still confused about the potus wanting to be a dictator? He has to control everything. Especially women. I think in their male hearts they're afraid. Specifically Don-old. Unless he can bribe them, intimidate and ultimately control every aspect of a woman's life.

Malicious compliance:
start mailing used tampons and pads to the state gov'ts who passed these atrocious laws
- about 60% of fertilized eggs are discarded with period blood -
and demand an autopsy etc
There is no sanity behind the thought that a miscarriage should be criminalized. There is no state, no country, no world where it should be allowed to happen. I'm the eldest of three children in my generation. It should be four.
During my second trimester check up, the doctor could not find a heart beat. He sent me home explaining I might have some abnormal bleeding like a heavy flow and some cramps in the next few days. I hemorrhaged so much blood, that by the time I got to the ER, I was covered head to toe. Cont.
At some point, I know the fetus was expelled, but I was so engulfed in grief and horror, I didn’t notice when it happened. Had I not made it to the ER, I have no idea what I would have done with it, acknowledging I was not in my right mind at the time. Neither the nurses or doctor mentioned it, cont
And it was likely disposed of, unceremoniously. Had I been arrested over this at that point in my life, I know it would have broke me. Women already question every single decision they made before a miscarriage as if they could have prevented it somehow.
These men are out to punish women for having sex in the first place. It has nothing to do with babies, they clearly couldn’t care less. Clawing back school lunches and fighting to keep school shootings possible.
I had a similar experience during my 2nd miscarriage. I was only 8 weeks along and lost the pregnancy at work in the bathroom. I was panicked at the amount of blood... I didn't even realize I had expelled the fetus until my doctor confirmed it a few hours later... I was so heartbroken.
Kimberly and @fedara.bsky.social, thank you so much for sharing your stories. It's so important to put these awful memories out there so that people can understand a little more what it is like. I learned at 12wks that my bb died at 9wks. It was a missed miscarriage and I was a mess. ...
I think she was terrified of being prosecuted. I bet she felt that if she reported it (not even sure how what the right way to do that is), she would be accused of purposefully causing the miscarriage. What is happening in some states is out of control.
If Americans don’t stand up to this it will get worse everyday. I saw that movie reference too and was appalled at the entire movie. That is the world many white men want to live again.
