Now, you'd think given that Hawkman's GA backstory was the "reincarnation" thing, that HE would be the one with the immortal caveman supervillain, but no he is not. At least he got Gentleman Ghost, because the other guys he had at that time, uh... no one's buying comics for THE MONOCLE these days.

"Evil businessman wearing a weaponized monocle" is like "OK, maybe you can get a story out of this but I don't know how long that's gonna last".

OTOH, "THE CLASSIEST HIGHWAYMAN GHOST YOU EVER DID SEE" is like "yes, give me all of this dude I can get immediately"
