the anon firehose would be insane. as someone who has created/modded/managed a uni confessions page, I feel like moderation is critical to get down because it goes crazy way too fast. chaos chamber + ppl who think they’re edgy 💀
that’s true! it’s hard to control for unhinged responses and bullying/trolling when it’s anonymized… but of course the rest of the responses are more likely to be authentic, which is important to me
mhmm, i think this is part of why reddit has worked so well despite its faults. you can read an insightful, confessional text from someone uniquely qualified without knowing who they really are
