One thing that worries me about the future of Wrathion as a character is whether or not blizzard will keep in mind the specific relationships he has with faction leaders, as well as how they handle it.

For example- Lor'themar, Thalyssra, and Wrathion seem to be actually quite amicable now. Despite what happened at the wedding and Wrathion's involvement, they were still open to his tour of the Dragon Isles, and didn't even slightly tease him about the cake.
Lor'themar Theron can hold a HELL of a grudge, grudge to end all grudges, so that was a pleasant surprise he doesn't have one against him. I REALLY hope that gets remembered come Midnight-
I, under no uncertain terms, believe Wrathion is coming back then.
We know its Silvermoon. We know Wrathion is hunting Iridikron. He will almost certainly appear to aid his newfound friends when the sunwell goes to shit (again), I'm sure of it. If not, at least at the 'twist' of the xpac before Final Titan he will likely show up with something on the stone boy.
--But I am worried about how they may write him. Wrathion is a weird one in terms of the factions. Him being so chummy with two Horde leaders in particular is a bit odd to begin with, you'd think they'd be the most pissed at him about Garrosh still. Them not being so, at least compared to the-
-Alliance is actually really refreshing and to me shows nuance of these characters. The Alliance (and Anduin) blaming him for Varian, however unfair it is, could be EXCELLENT for reinging Wrathion back to being more faction neutral again.
Cause let's face it, he was essentially an Alliance character for a long while there. Not that that's bad, but... You gotta admit we're very Alliance heavy rn with plot characters. I really hope they shift him back into his faction agonistic role again by that he will cooperate and have friends-
