An eerie experience I've had touring Oregon has been on the coast highway, going past sign after sign that say ENTERING TSUNAMI ZONE or LEAVING TSUNAMI ZONE as you drive up and down the hills. I read them as translating to YOU ARE NOW IN THE ZONE OF DEATH BEWARE THE EVIL WATER WHEN IT COMES.
I grew up in Southern Oregon and one big problem is the lack of highways that go directly west from the ocean.
To get to the Oregon coast from Medford you have to drive north, then south into California, then to the coast, then go north. Hopefully people can seek elevation because going west is π¬.
They are! (sort of) @wandrme.paxex.aero made a starter pack of a bunch of automated NWS alert bots by location, and they work great. Iβm using my local one and the one for my kidβs school, and theyβve been accurate. If you go to the starter pack tab at his account, you can choose the ones you want
Tsunami warning NOW from Davenport, CA (north of Santa Cruz) up to the Douglas/Line County line of Oregon (south of Florence), (and possibly also in parts of British Columbia and Alaska coast?)

On La Palma in the Canary Islands.
When that one goes, the entire East Coast will be a wipeout.
Weβll have a few laughsβ
