Sorry but first world researchers need to stop treating the developing countries as labs to come up with research ideas. These are serious concerns and development problems, the research on which needs to be driven by and embedded in a development agenda and not as a means to publications.

In Malawi to visit rural preschools and try to come up with research ideas. It's a bad drought, a bad hunger season, and kids are not coming to preschool because the whole family is hungry. Many look malnourished. My research ideas seem kind of stupid.
