I beg y’all this Black History Month to PLEASE LET THE CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT GO. It’s been SIXTY YEARS. We’ve gotta move on and I say that as a historian! It wasn’t a perfect movement, and the way people memorialize it is stifling new forms of engagement. LET. IT. GO!! Let’s do better!! #Blacksky
