The marriage age isn’t much different than that of other states. I’m across the river in illinois. If their gov signs this, they will have stricter laws than Illinois. We allow 16 and 17 year olds to marry with parental consent. People like their kids married if they have babies often.
MS has a minimum age of 21, but it doesn't really matter if there's a parental consent clause. So when teenage girls were pregnant, parents signed papers and the teenagers married. It's not a situation that's likely to succeed, but it is legal despite the age limit.
