Britt Allcroft was as responsible for Thomas' failures as she was for the franchise's successes, but there's no doubt that without her we would never have gotten to see our beloved engines on screen. She will be missed.

I appreciate what she did, but I also remember her terrible reputation as "Britt the Litigious Engine" for some expensive and ill-advised copyright lawsuits against the heritage rail industry around 1990. Win some, lose some...
Yep. So ridiculous. In the end she is also responsible for the state of the Thomas brand today in no small part through the disaster that was Thomas and the Magic Railroad, which did lasting damage to the brand an it's perception today.
