Because this just came up and everybody should know: hydrogen peroxide removes blood stains. If it's a lot on something porous like a mattress, wipe it up when it foams and keep applying the peroxide. I have removed the blood from a home birth with this. Periods, accidents, whatever. ah good* memories of having to get the hydrogen peroxide bottle every time the largest tampon + the largest pad didn't keep me from bleeding all over myself and my bed at night

I once almost amputated my little toe in a household accident, bled all over the house on my way to emergency care, and all it took was peroxide to get the trail out of the carpet. Peroxide, blotting, and cold water.

I can say with 110% certainty ... do not use hot water ... blood flows and flows and flows and flows in seemingly endless amounts
If yah use cold water though, washes out in a few minutes at most
