23. Oof, this is a pretty broad subject for this character limit. To keep it short, I just want to tell stories through my works and connect with people through them. I'm not good at explaining my thoughts or talking about myself, so I reach out through stories instead.
20. 99% of the time with music. I only ever work in silence if I'm overstimulated for some reason or focusing so hard that noises make it hard to 'see' what I'm trying to visualise.
19. Just inspired nowadays, the goblin of envy thankfully vanished some years ago! I just get hyped seeing other people's art and feel motivated to create something myself.
18. Depends on the day lmao 😅 sometimes I very much feel like I'm getting nowhere, then suddenly I create something that wows me so utterly that I'm like??? HOW EVEN??
I challenge myself but I don't know that I'm liking it 😭 If I was a sane person I would not have made half my central cast wear armour. (and if anyone's wondering why I haven't drawn Vannuil more... girl, she's got FULL-plate armour. I'm die.)
15. I guess vehicles, considering how many times that motorcycle from question 6 has kicked my ass in the past year... Cats are also incredibly difficult for some reason.
13. I don't think it has changed in either direction much tbh! How much drawing time I have fluctuates based on how much I'm writing (and vice versa), but they also feed each other so I'm usually doing both regularly.
12. Idk what my average piece would even be 😭 the paper sizes and whether I'm inking with a brush pen or a fineliner affects the time a lot, plus I usually let my works rest for days (or even weeks) between phases. If I hard focus on just one piece I might get it done in 2-3 days I guess?
11. I don't think I've abandoned any works in the recent years, so here's a plane doodle I did last year on my trip to Rome. Put your hands up if you too hate flying and need to distract yourself with something while in the air.
9. Mostly personal, considering I mostly draw characters from my stories, but I do like making gift art and drawing other people's OCs from time to time.
8. Varies soooo much 😂 I'm either at "this is the greatest thing created by anyone ever" or "why was I ever given hands when all that comes out is garbage", like there's no in-between
7. I guess just for fun since I'm not trying to make a living with my art, though I'd say it goes way deeper than just 'fun'. Art is communication. I'm actively communicating through my art, even if it's not my profession.
6. Machinery, anything technical or mechanical. There's this picture of Hawk with a motorcycle I've tried to start since last summer and... yeah, you're probably not seeing that anytime soon. So far the bike has won everytime.
5. All the time, though not religiously. Usually a reference is a starting point and the finished piece might end up only using a tiny bit of the ref pose, like the hands, legs, what have you. I also often combine multiple refs for one pose to match the vision in my head.
4. Characters interacting! It's always been my thing, once I discovered I could make my OCs kiss at the age of 9 there was no going back lol. I also love love LOVE drawing flowers and plants.
3. I did a 4-year Bachelor's degree in fashion design (don't ask) so technically I've taken some classes I guess? It was mostly focused on flat line drawings, CAD, and other heavily design oriented stuff, though. Not exactly riveting. Hated it with a passion.
1. Coming as no surprise to absolutely anyone, but traditional, quite obviously considering... *gestures vaguely* I think I last properly tried digital art in 2012 or so? It just never felt the same to me, just never started enjoying the process.
