There are 1,050 billionaires in the US, holding $6.72 trillion in wealth. If we shot them all into the sun and redistributed their wealth among the lower 50% of income earners in the US, that would be nearly $40k per person. That's a years wages for them.
What's fun about "wealth redistribution" is that most people assume it's just about redstributing dollars. It's not just dollars, but ownership over the means of production that needs to be redistributed collectively.
At what point do the masses say enough is enough? When we can no longer afford our daily bread? Do the heads of the Kings and Queens heads again roll like they did during the French Revolution? New ruling cabal; Same old contradictory social arrangement.
