W11 is so bad, and it has back-contaminated W10 with the last update (Copilot, ads…) I’m only using Windows because I need an x86 machine for digital design (Quartus does not run on arm) and Terasic tools are Windows only, but I think I’ll find a Linux way… - ThreadSky

I would love to, it does not fit that well in my workflow and infrastructure that are very NAS oriented. Maybe I’ll try to debloat W11 and give it a go 🤷‍♂️

Same here. Your VM can have a shared folder sync'ed by your Nas. And keep the guest Os offline. Helpful for old tools that done run on newer os.

I use that for an old ide that only works on win7. It's full offline so no telemetry no auto update ... Shared folder so that backups are possible, and programming the devices attached to the host. You can also drag n drop files to/from your host if shared folder is too much
