Fast fashion can do that. But I am seeing a shift (ahem). Both the young people 🙃 and Gen Xers like me are making an effort to thrift shop or make their own.
They are learning how to mend and how to iron. What we do need now is a return to trades. Italy's tailors are dying, as are the shoemakers.
Actually, I was there, 12 years old. I used to Trick or Treat in the subway station cause commuters didn't have candy, but they sure had coins. I lived on Riverside Drive, runs along the Hudson. Special place, special time!
