It's Daytona. The finish is almost always random, but the top guys spent most of the day looking fast. Logano was probably best, but Cindric and Blaney and Wallace all were fast and are all good at super speedways.
You saw what stenhouse and Custer did. They were stupid moves but they were desperation moves as well. Something like that might happen at Talladega but it just means more to these drivers
Elliott falls into the category of his nepotism not bothering me because he’s actually good.
With Lajoie, sure his dad was a driver but he hasn’t exactly been in top rides he didn’t deserve or anything. He’s never been at anything more than a mid-pack team, which is where he belongs.

Does his legacy change? No. Even if he finds a ride for the rest of the season he’s not doing much of anything outside of a drafting track.
Lajoie isn’t good anywhere else lmao
He helped build Front Row into a legitimate NASCAR team.
Now that he's in a decent ride he can be competitive.
I have no idea how LaJoie or Stenhouse are considered anything but bad.
Between LaJoie and Elliot, NASCAR focuses on marketing the wrong nepo hires
