Hear you on common courtesy & respect thing - not the way to go about things. Tho club prob need to do something about the atmos / designated safe standing situation in the PL. They promised a white wall…but are currently facilitating a beige like partition.

I told both these lads I’d happily stand if everyone did. That doesn’t solve things. Standing area is right there and they aint leading the way with noise. Club planting 1882 in South was a mistake too. Also, think the fanbase only turn up for certain games. Like next Sunday.

Heartsick that a generational opportunity at the PL has been cynically squandered by the owners. Much was possible (hoped for) but increasingly we are left with a failed ‘promise’ which has inevitably led to us turning on ourselves.
Could be the envy of the sports world and loved by us.

I was just saying this in a chat. We lost our identity because the club/board/Levy failed to truly prioritise the football above everything else. Now they are course correcting, I'm willing to buckle up for the ride. I think some fans expect us to win every game or win 90% of all of them...

...issue is that puts us in a title contender position. We are not title contenders. So realistically, where we are is where we should be. Look at everyone's darling Villa this season. Not much chat about them. Spurs fans and media tend to bloat the discourse about the club to heightened levels.

I've got a dodgy ankle and standing for 45+ at a stretch is difficult but not impossible (and I'm not old, young, pregnant, disabled, exhausted, etc. etc. etc.)

Standing doesn't make the football any better.

Nearly went off at a concert for same reason. Told them "on the ticket it's listed as a seated venue, if everyone is going to stand you can either find somewhere for me to sit or give me my money back."

To their credit they found a perfect spot I could sit. Not workable at scale obviously.

For context, they tend to stand & linger and then are dismissive of anyone behind them asking them to sit down. has been like this for 2 years and since before I moved to my seat. Issue is they claim the people behind them (myself and others are) are impacting the atmosphere by not standing up too.

Here's the the thing they refuse to accept. NOBODY around them and infront of them stand. We all get bums off seats when something is happening, but otherwise, everyone is seated. But apparently it's my fault and others by not standing and we should to encourage others to do the same.

It's bullshit because by their standard they should be having a go at everyone in front of them. The bigger issue is they block people that CAN'T stand. There was an old fella and also a young girl with her mum. That's when the blokes behind me told them to 'fucking sit down' and it aggy for a bit.

Worth adding that they both haven't bothered me for ages. I got over it all. I stand when he stands if something is happening so I can see what he's doing but I'm hyper sensitive about the people around me. They are not. That's the crux. Be better people. That's it.
