I'm getting a bit bad taste about people who spend their time making blocklists of people they don't know and who haven't behaved in any inappropriate way. There's just something socially crooked and devious with the whole thing.

Thinking about it, which I will do eagerly rn because I'm procrastinating from class work, it's got the same vibe as abusers who gang up on people and try to find personal value in putting other people down. Same taste to it.
Well, I thought block lists were a great idea for like five minutes. Then I found out from my trans friends that they are abused by slipping them into lists that are supposedly about something completely different, some people create them by keywords so every anti-MAGA person ends up on a MAGA list
All in all, they aren't that great of an idea. I'm not going to trust anyone I don't know really well and who doesn't swear to me they've curated their list personally and carefully for blocking hundreds of people. With my meager following it's not a big deal to do it manually.
Thanks for the reminder tho, I went and checked the lists I'm on and started smiling as people have added me to several very positive follow lists and I didn't even know, this kinda made my day as it's really nice! 🥰
