It would just be temporary until they get their stadium in Baltimore if that's ever going to happen. I'm sure the Bobcats wouldn't want to be permanently under Uniteds thumb either. What they've built is special but they need a place to play.
Well that's kinda my point. DCU partners with them and they play in MLSNP until DCU comes up with a permanent solution. Bobcats pocket some money and find investors and then they can move forward. Win win.
Is MLSNP not fully professional? I agree that they are very prideful in that regard, but they aren't even a team currently. I think its at the very least a beneficial move in the short term that keeps the soccer ecosystem in the DMV alive.
MLSNP is mostly professional. Since it's the last stop before the 1st team, almost all the clubs will have Academy kids playing in games pre-contract as sort of a final evaluation.
I agree with that. I think both clubs should swallow their pride and do it temporarily. I don't have any info on whether it's even been discussed or anything but it feels like a good temporary solution for both clubs.

Bobcats take a lot of pride in being MD's only pro team. They lose that if they become DC's minor league team.
