This article is totally insipid.
Paul Wells spends half of it painting a picture of Poilievre being privately courteous and friendly.
But that's based on Wells' PERSONAL access -- as a white man with power.
I've heard stories about his private interactions that paint a very different picture.

In this era of post truth, pathological lying has been turned into a commodity. I am so happy I have less time ahead of me than behind me.

Of course Poilievre grovels to all rich people he meets.
what concerns me is the craven revolving door between government and industry which blatantly rewards our politicians for serving business interests
Is that really a plus for PP?
He had to pay bot farms to talk about what a great time they had in [town]'s townhall.
Ordinary Canadians don't like him either.
Get Wells to an emergency ward. He's got Poilievre snake oil poisoning.
called her "d*ke" and "sand-n-word"
so did his buddies Ezra and Kenney
that is what she told me
Wells really has his finger on the pulse of the nation.
That cover is what finally killed any interest I had in reading Maclean's
"He's clumsy and ignorant and has no real plan but..."
We really are living in the dumbest timeline.

October 2, 2015, I love it. 😂
It's why when Harper was PM, he would frequently use Poilievre as an attack dog. Instead of answering questions about his own government, send out the attack dog against the media & opposition.
“Poilievre’s demeanour is so petulant and repellent as to cross the line into anti-charisma. His unlikability is so reliable as to actually constitute a talent of its own, if one could monetize irritation.”
I get the feeling that Poilievre is only nice to the people he can use to gain power/money from.
yeah that's always #1 on my list of criteria of political parties to vote for. Whether their leader makes small talk with the ambassador from Liechtenstein. What the actual fuck.
Also... part of a politician's JOB, especially at the highest office, involves talking to diplomats. There's even a word for it: "diplomacy".
👍👍
Courteous, my ass.
Who he is when cornered by a question is who he is all day long.
Wells mentions ONE event (of course, having to note that a rich man attending is Well's friend lmfao -- never miss a chance to flex your access)
He doesn't note the two fundraisers held at the mansion of a private healthcare profiteer.
He doesn't talk about his longstanding admiration for conspiracy peddling millionaires like Jordan Peterson
He leaves out that Poilievre also makes life "uncomfortable" for the VULNERABLE, like trans people (who Wells doesn't mention at all), by going on TV and denying they exist.
You know, people who actually know things about subjects and have positions that are reasoned, not just vacuous slogans.
I'm not interested in columnists flexing about access when their excitement about that access is the very reason their entire perception of an individual is so totally clouded.
The fact the author described how Poili ignored everyone, even within speaking distance, who wasn’t useful to him is revealing that Poili is only out for himself self.
Anther is that Poili is only in for the Win, which I read as “at all costs to our detriment”
That'll get you the har-hars at the next cocktail hour at the Met, I'm sure!!!
Vacuos to the core.
You have Wells number down pat thanks for this post!
As for Pierre similar to. He's an asshole, he just likes adoration.
