I think this is true for a lot of people.
Many folks *against* Poilievre rather than *for* Carney.
I’m confident things would be worse for trans folks if Poilievre won.
That doesn’t mean voters — including people who voted Liberal — should feel they have to blindly support all Carney does.

Hi so none of us claimed we voted him in because we liked him, just for the record
I’m pretty sure we all agreed to just get out and vote *against* the much more evil option.
You know, the whole glancing South thing? Deciding that we weren’t gonna pull a ‘Murica and let fascists win? Remember?

Would Carney still have won without the Trump threat? We will never know
Does PM Carney deserve to be questioned and challenged? Of course, that’s what Democracy is about. But he also deserves a chance to respond
Canadians didn't learn a damn thing from looking south.
We have Ronald Reagan for a Prime Minister.
Black people didn't sell out
Never forget that fact!
Media never mentions that
#TeamKKKanada Whites Only KKKolonizer KKKulture KKKorporate kkkoward KKKocksuckkkers will sell out at any opportunity
Some of those people strongly disagree with me and would have preferred the consequences of a poilievre government.
Don't regret any of it.
Even though I'm currently protesting C-2 (for instance).
Since when is democracy "I agree with my team 100%"?
I praise and heckle as I see fit.
I had no illusions that Carney was going to be a step backward for my taste, and already I was (and am) quite a bit farther left than the LPC at their best.
Progressive voters delivered a minority Liberal government, not a majority one (or a Con supermajority).
It’s a public mandate that forces Carney to cut deals with progressives instead of ruling by fiat.
I like Carney and can see virtue in what he's doing on a range of things but I am not giving up a commitment to human and environmental rights. He's just the right guy for now.
i was really hsppy when election was over so i can go back to hating the Liberals

You Had to pretend he was actually a progressive, even as he copied PP's platform

Carney will screw up, obviously. We are in uncharted waters. But it was an election, not a coronation or elevation to sainthood.
His job is to put the US in our rear view mirror.
MLMs are going bankrupt left and right so the spreadsheet is quiet, but I’ve got about a zillion others
I actually did a piece on MLMs for Global back in the day!! Lots of thematic overlap with reporting on radicalization and extremism, oddly enough
Anyway thank u for ur service 🫡
You don't vote FOR anything, you vote AGAINST.
That is the principle behind "strategic voting".
I refuse to vote under FPTP so it's NOT MY FAULT. :)
