When the UCP were elected, we literally were called into a meeting where we were given the message that we must not do anything to embarrass this gov't or risk their re-election.
The message during the NDP term? Protect Albertans' interests.
This meant not wasting money in any way (I had to buy my own tissues for my desk) but more importantly, scrutinizing every contract to make sure it was fair and of value. Notary's gov't gave public servants "the teeth" to stand up to contractors who were used to making deals with their con buddies.
Ok, thank you. I wouldn't want to jeopardize you but this is rather minor compared to the other two. There is actually another account on X that I'm surprised wasn't mentioned that has some inside knowledge of the UCP.
I think it's sad that this info isn't common knowledge or believed, and it's really sad that someone like me, who just does a simple job day by day feels like they have to be anonymous to protect their livelihood.
