Good write up on these! I'm personally struggling with whether to stick with my RSS reader (Reeder Classic) or totally move over to the new Reeder. I feel bad leaving Feedbin behind and not paying for that, but I don't think paying for both is necessary.

I’ve been waiting to read your thoughts on Tapestry! So far I like the app but it’s a big change from traditional RSS and that’s the part my brain has had trouble adjusting to.

I find it more compelling as an app to use alongside RSS rather than a replacement.

Agreed about Bluesky and Mastodon. I want to be able to react to posts or read replies. For everything else, though, it’s a time saver. Putting RSS, Reddit, YouTube etc. together makes it easier to follow things without getting distracted.

Just downloaded both thanks to your post. 🙏Like the design of reeder slightly more but it doesn’t recommend any content to start from. Tapestry wins eventually as it’s so easy to navigate into the original page…

I’ve been using Reeder for a bit as an RSS client and I really like it, but now you have me wondering what else i might be able to do with it. I took a look at Tapestry; I’m not fond of the design, but that’s just me. But totally agree on Mastodon/Bluesky: no interaction or sharing, no thanks!
