Sometimes panic is self-fulfilling. Maybe it’s best not to assume the worst before we have anything solid by which to judge. (It would be nice to see decent analysis for a change, and have it garner attention🤞)
I hope it is glowing and awesome, we're just in a more hostile/misogynist media landscape right now so I feel a bit guarded about a lot of new media being announced. SXSW kicks off on 3/7 so we won't have long before we find out. If it's great I hope it finds distribution somewhere 🤞
Agreed—but I would feel more dread if the makers were bearded middle-aged white-guy “rock critics” (let’s say). Also, I am not sure I need it to glow so long as it’s balanced, fair, well-researched—that would be awesome enough IMO, and a real novelty. ARMY deserves good analysis!
To its credit the description is very glowing, I'm just trying to figure out ahead of time what the narrative arc would be. I usually read reviews out of SXSW so as soon as I see some I'll post them.
I know the description looks glowing but still. The upside is IF for some reason it is incorrect, all of their info is on the internet and they know ARMY is everywhere. They will be hearing about any smears or drags directly.
It’s made by armys. Older armys from what I can tell. By older I mean grown up and long time armys. I don’t know them personally but I have heard of the people that made it and they are definitely from the fandom.
