Interestingly Republicans just screwed themselves with the Safe Act! Female Democrats are less likely to take their husband’s surname 65% versus 90% consecutive, and they are 9% more likely to have passports. Still, the Senate must block this voter suppression bill.

If you have a female Republican Senator (as I do in TN), perhaps we should address an email to their given name vs married name to drive the point home?

Meanwhile every woman needs to change her name back to birth surname. Take away their tools of oppression and when they cry about it, remind them how they could’ve stopped it. Normalize never taking a married name again.

Trans ppl all need to get reissued birth certificates if they can. ❤️
