📈win wolumn📈 great reads! i think that part of their loyalty to players as well is their emphasis on “we want players who want to stay in the city” & they get caught up in this. for example, if a player is negotiating their contract & praises the city, it seems like management can’t let it go easily
Fully agreed! It's probably a mixed bag of being burned in the past and not wanting it to happen again, as well as Calgary putting a lot of effort into keeping players happy as a strategy and that player praise is some form of signal that it's "working."
totally! i also forgot to mention- they value a lot of that “veteran leadership” which ties into player loyalty and although i do agree that this leadership is important, i wish those vets were elite players. this then gets in the way of acquiring “better” vets
