lots of people checking out monster hunter due to the Wilds hype train, so opinion incoming:
weapons based on their new-player-friendliness
absolutely try them all to see what clicks but this is generally how I'd consider the weapons

didn't care because I knew i was doing more damage than him hiding in the back failing his charges lol.
Some of the hyper aggressive, rapid attack monsters felt rough with hammer
Then again... I never touched those. (Is a switch blade main with some kinsect glaive on the side)
And the bow in "Rise"
Tho using them does kinda ruin my brain to the point where i cant play anything else anymore
And thats the weapon I LIKE
Every guide and other players of this game
Why did you choose the charge blade you fool
(Legit forget how to use it 99.99% of the time so B button it is)
btw ls mains rise up
Pretty
Hot
Damage
CB is always a damn nightmare in LR/HR to build around because of how much of a swiss army knife it is. Meanwhile, DB just really needs stamina and atk up.
It was definitely an uphill climb, but I stuck with it 😁 Until MHWorld came to PC and I switch to HH 😅
Heheh, funny halberd go zoom
(Yes I still use it, even in Rise.)
chargeblade and dualblades lol.
In MHRise, Dual Blades and GES were the best choices for me. Speed and attack for DB’s attacks were easier to calculate counters and land strong blows.
I play the much less scary mobile game, where gunlance is absolutely absurd OP, easy as dirt and slaughters everything. No expectations that it'll be the same in the actual games.
