lot of trans hate is the same thing as gay hate. unhappy people see you find a way out of the unhappiness factories we're born into and they bang their heads against the bars trying to pull you back in so they don't gotta die alone with each other.

I think some people as kids learn to cultivate a sense of power, place and security by really learning an ethos of conformity. Of course this way of living is incredibly stagnant and boring, and so many kids entertainment becomes bullying.
Bullying is transgressive and thrilling but also safe.
When these people grow up, and see that people they percieve as the former objects of their bullying are now unable to be bullied by them and worse still, are completely indifferent to conformity. It causes them to end up in a very lonely, sad place, which then makes them dangerous.
I think what we need is a wider social movement, that takes the amazing ways of thinking about self and identity fostered in so many LGBTQ+ communities and translate that into something that can be addopted and internalised by people outside those communities. Especially straight white men.
As we see a genuine neo-facist resurgence in the west, ghettoisation of LGBTQ+ people both online and IRL will be pushed more and more. To combat that what we need to be doing is actively pushing outwards against facism. It is schmaltzy but love and acceptance can win if we are smart and savy.
(lol I love how this turned into a weird rant under someone elses post but ended in a Christmassy message about how love can win. Happy Chirstmas everyone!)
Also, the enemies are rarely all that creative. A lot of anti-trans talking points are old anti-gay talking points dusted off and polished. And those often started as anti-black or anti-jewish points if you go back far enough
I know it sounds corny but I really believe that the basic idea that you can choose who to be and how to live can be genuinely very dangerous to the ways power operates!!
everything's built on knowing where someone goes in the pecking order and how hard they should get hit when they try to climb out of that. the ruling class urgently hoard power because they have lost all identity but power, which empties their souls in exchange for compulsive hedonism, not happiness
