Those were made by the Spitting Image puppeteers. I think I heard that Phil Collins was so pleased by one of him, on the weekly programme they did, that he/Genesis commissioned them for the video.

I have so much i want to say and for some reason the ability to do so escapes me. I’m endlessly proud of fellow artists when they find success. It’s such a personal kinship that I usually don’t express it to anyone(including the artists) but all that silliness is over now, you are quite amazing.
