Underground. A very Marshal Law inspired supers game. Got that same kind of disposable heroes left over from the war they were used in vibe going on. Lot of good ideas going on in here, just not a fan of the mechanics.

Fantasy Wargaming from 1982. A lot of folks seem to either have this or have at least had a copy pass through their hands. Very rough game design (as expected for that time) but there are some genuine neat ideas in those pages.

I had a quarto copy when I was young, it slipped through my fingers somehow but years later I reacquired it in octavo format; still have it today.

The first time I saw one it was the octavo format and size. Then when I decided to go find a copy for myself I discovered the larger quarto version which was easier for me to read.

Nightspawn, before Palladium got a C/D from Todd McFarlane and had to change it to Nightbane. A really damn cool horror game premise that was always a really hard sell because of the system that it was strapped to.

Millennium's End. A very near future technothriller type of game where you play agents working for a high profile security agency. Had the most amazing hit location system ever BUT also had some crunchy and overly complicated combat rules as well.

D6 Adventure/Space/Fantasy. I got to playtest the three core D6 books that WEG released years back. Although I think my name only ended up listed in two of them. Coming back around to this system again as I'm thinking of using it for one of my own games I want to publish.

Battlelords of the 23rd Century. I've made characters for this, several in fact. Never played or ran it. But I just love the amount of detail they put into everything. Well everything combat related that is. Insane level of gearporn that is so much fun to read through and steal ideas from.

Let's get bleak. Rapture is the darkest and most hopeless setting I've ever read in a ttrpg. Darker than Kult even. Sadly it never really caught it's footing in the game world and both editions only came out with a couple of books each and were done. It deserved more.

Conspiracy X. I do enjoy the 1st edition more than 2nd but that's because I'm not a big Unisystem person and I like the original mechanics. A great X-Files type setting dialed up to an eleven and some really clever psionic power mechanics using zenner cards.

How about this oldie. Psi World from FGU. Actually one of their more rules light forays, still some crunch but not like Aftermath. You play people with psionic power in the near future where having such powers gets you hunted down by the government. A great bit of fun but it's been a long time.

Probably one of the most influential games on me ever. Changed the way I think about game systems and setting presentation, especially when I was back into rules heavy gaming more than anything. All the insanity of Al Amarja was just a breeding ground for great gaming.

Back to R.Talsorian again. Cybergeneration is one of those games I really like but can't seem to get people interested in trying out. My current group probably would but we're busy with RED and 2020. The carbon plague altered kids fighting against the corporate American machine.

Of course I also have the more modern Alien ttrpg. This is a lot of fun to play. Was really hesitant of the Stress Dice mechanic at first but in the end I was really blown away by how well it works and helps actually make your rolls feel that much more important at times.

BECMI Dungeons and Dragons. If somebody wants me to run a fast simple fantasy game THIS is what I pull of the shelf. Starting them off just using the red box and moving up as they level. I have the books but sadly the boxes are long sense gone.

In my opinion, the best version of the D20 system that hit the market. D20 Modern was really well done and made more sense to me than most other version. It deserved a lot more support than what it got.

Twilight 2000 1st edition. Post apocalyptic military roleplaying starting you off behind enemy lines and being told you are on your own. Have nearly every book for this edition, only missing three I believe.

Unknown Armies 2nd edition. This, to me, was the best version of the game. Great mesh of system and setting that just worked really well. Have not ran this game nearly enough.

I never knew of this book. I just had watched batman beyond and one of the dc cartoons that batman made a mecha suit and thought it looked ad police or madox 01 style and went with that idea.

Now let's roll out those crit charts. The Rolemaster boxed set. Love the crunchiness of this system as a player. As a GM not so much. Still it influenced the way I used to make up homebrew systems and stole many ideas out of there for other games.

Now let's go for an odd one. The old Aliens Adventure Game from Leading Edge released in 1991. Using a slimmed down version of the Phoenix Command rules this game is a bit crunchy. But was a lot of fun back when I ran it a few times. Finally got it back on my shelf a while ago.

This is a no brainer for anyone who knows me. Kult was my main horror obsession for many long years. Met a lot of great people online because of this game several of which I'm still in contact with. Worked with many of them back in the day on a site called "The Abyss".

Let's go with the obvious first. Cyberpunk 2020. One of my favorite games of all time. Bought it shortly after it hit the shelves back in the day. Been an obsession off an on every since that time.
