Israel isn't in control of the United States. This is just who the US is and has always been.

Saying we're controlled is just a way of saying we're victims. We're not. We're an imperial power that likes war because it's profitable and enriches our oligarchs.

It has been a hasbara propaganda line for decades, that the US is an imperial state and helps Israel's crimes due to imperialism. This is done to deflect attention away from the control that pro Israeli forces have over the leadership of both Democrats and republicans, which is factually obvious.

I disagree w/ OP. US is and has been puppet to foreign regimes for 4 decades. Khomeini engineered election of US President. Israel owns most of the US Congress & has for 3 decades. Russia placed Trump in WH TWICE. MAGA thinks they rule the world. But players in the world with $$ to spend rule US.

The oft-used metaphor that "America is the world's cop" holds here, I think. Like most American police, we erratically attempt to enforce rules that we refuse to follow and we are prone to violence against those who defy our authority - naked shows of force clad in a thin veneer of justification.

If anything, Netanyahu's Israel feels like it has become an outgrowth of the United States with its alliance with the evangelical right.
