If you're texting anything that might get you in legal trouble or has anything even remotely non-boring in it, I'd do that on Signal. I haven't deleted social media! I did lock my Tw. I just don't text or DM or email anything that could be weaponized against me, if that makes sense.

Since my youth, the things I write have been misunderstood to mean something else. Just me, I guess. I learned long ago to try and be very specific or make it clear that I am joking. I'm always aware of how things can be twisted out of context. Keep up the good work!

I use DMs all the time on various platforms. If we're talking about the weather, I stay there. But if there's literally anything of more import under discussion, do what your friendly neighborhood journalist has been doing for years: Move the convo to Signal. Keep yourself safe my lovelies. 💚

Mo' ideas: @eff.org has great safety guides that I've used a lot. I also pay for @blockpartyapp.com which helps identify possible security risks. There are so many ever changing options on so many apps/platforms & they ID what you might want to change. I think it's good value for the $ & recommend

You can set up Signal to have texts disappear quickly. So if I get an email from someone about something sensitive, I personally have become a broken record when I answer. My usual reply: "Sounds interesting! Let's discuss on Signal." You can use it to call, send docs, text. It's easy.
