there should be a setting within ER eps for Chicago residents-- "Strip out all references to geography." Honestly most TV shows supposedly set here are fairly aneurysm-inducing on this front.

As a former Chicagoan/current Southwest Suburban resident, I'm very thankful that The Pitt (and the week wait for new episodes) has lead me to rewatch/watch ER again, merely to see shots of mid-1990s Chicago and to critique/question (now that I'm older) the geography of that show.

There is also a sequence in The Town, which was shot on location at Fenway, that has some VERY creative editing in how the boys, dressed as Boston cops, get from the street to the "money room."
Oh, really, Doug, you're going to save a kid from drowning in a culvert in....Millenium Park?
Oh, you're taking your quick lunch break....at the lakefront near Ohio St. Beach, Mark and Susan?
Beyond obvious ones (no, writers of The Fugitive, there is no Balbo L station): scenes driving in the city (Ferris Bueller, Blues Brothers etc.) is like the Family Circle dotted-line maps on acid.
I married him anyway ❤️
