They really are gorgeous up close - we have a juvenile in the inner harbor at Half Moon Bay right now. I watch it swimming around when I walk the dogs in the morning.

BTW, Is it possible that those are Grays? The curvature of the mouth and shortness of the snouts suggests that they could be, though I’m no expert.

It's not possible as they are humpbacks 😂 but gray whale season isn't for a little while. I don't really go out for it. They're boring here. They're just racing through to get to Mexico to breed.
