I can tell you that I have worked the phones as best I can with environmental groups for Michigan students, and the thing that would make a huge difference is funding. NGOs need money to pay people. So the big question is how to mobilize donors/big law firms to absorb/support public interest work.
It’s not a banking position, but tell them to look at state postings. My state/level PD office currently has five positions posted, from entry level to department head. FWIW, I moved to this office 25+ years ago from a position mainly doing OSHA & construction law work.
Agreed. There are lots of great state and local jobs that some of the well-heeled law school lawyers overlook, and they are great job that will make you great lawyers.
@ij.org is hiring recent and future grads right now. Our fellowships are 1-2 year roles that people use to either get hired on permanently or bridge a gap until a clerkship or something.
How do they even have any authority to fire anyone? They're a goddamn cryptocoin. Nobody should be listening to a word they say. They should be laughing the point of knee-slapping whenever these nitwits think they can give orders.
