Buy local food. That's what I do now. I live in Ca. so I have a lot of choice. If you live in states that produce less, then you will have less choice. We will be back to growing "victory gardens" in our neighborhoods and move more towards vegetarian diets to be safe. Reject corp. food.

Do you know how impossible that is in certain parts of the country and if you’re poor? I agree with being said. But being able to avoid it is a very privileged position. As people like me who are on SSI and food stamps. We don’t have the choice of stuff made outside the US as they are expensive.

That’s why I said “as much as you can.” In the U.S. we are basically cooked. But other countries should end importing of U.S. food. That will also hurt MAGA farmers and maybe get them to switch their allegiance in the midterms. Not a great situation but trying to find slivers of hope.

Few people are aware of the damage Trump already did to food safety in his first term. Currently, just about every kid eating oatmeal or cheerios is getting heavily dosed with a toxic chemical used on oats that had been been banned but Trump ended the ban. All the kids are getting poisoned now.

14% of Americans are on disability that isn’t a small percentage. It’s not high but it’s definitely not small. 40% of people over the age of 65 are disabled. So I would not say the percentage of people in my situation is small.
