When he grew into an adult, he became an inside informant for their enemy kingdom's spies. He wanted his family assassinated, in exchange Merikh would rule under the enemy kingdom's liege as their vassal. When he was found out he was tortured and mutilated to try and get him to spit out (2/3)
who he'd been conspiring with. He didn't give it away, was broken out by the enemy kingdom's spies, and changed his identity. He's now one of the elected rulers of the enemy kingdom and is determined to destroy his former home's government :3 (3/3)
