Thiiiiis. We have a right to boring mediocrity. In fact, I wish my life was more boring and mediocre.
Also, those calling me "brave" or "inspiring" are usually the first to join the pitchfork mob when I don't (want to) meet their expectations.
"validation" was always a fairly empty promise but a decade ago it was like receiving an ugly sweater from your grandmother; something to smile awkwardly and politely say thanks before getting out of the room.
now its just straight up offensive and dangerously flippant.
and we get tone policed from our own community members. i was at a trans fem support group once and the person leading it said that any of us could be the first trans person someone meets so we should always try to be our best selves 🤮
yeah no, I don't think so. I will be myself, nothing more, nothing less. I don't owe any random stranger a fucking thing. It's not my job to educate them.
That just makes me want to be more of a mess. You don't need to get your life in order or be "remarkable" to be trans! Look at me, walking disaster, still managing it every day and it's a marked improvement over trying to be cis
and like morality for personal reasons can even include such thinking tbqh but if ur pushing it on other ppl from any position of power or even without care it quickly turns into this sorta sitch

Allow them to be fully fledged people. ANYONE can be a dickhead, regardless of identity.
